Safe Keeping

Last Friday, I sat quietly in the Adoration Chapel of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Batavia (not our parish, but the only one locally who offers this) and as I prayed for my mom (lung cancer) and my dear husband (searching for good, quality employment) I came across a booklet which had several prayers from St. Francis de Sales. This one seemed most appropriate.

Safe Keeping
Do not look forward to the changes and the chances of this life in fear;
rather, look to them with full hope that, as they arise, God, whose you are, will deliver you out of them. He is your keeper. He has kept you hitherto.

Do you but hold fast to His dear hand, and He will lead you safely through all things;
And when you cannot stand, He will bear you in his arms. Do not look forward to what may happen tomorrow.
Our Father will either shield you from suffering, or He will give you strength to bear it.
-- Sir Francis de Sales

Please continue to keep them in your thoughts and prayers.
